Kyiv – The City of Ghosts Kyiv is a city where time and space intertwine so closely that reality and invisible worlds sometimes merge into one. In its streets, old buildings, and shaded corners, one can feel the presence of something invisible, seeping through the thin boundary between worlds. This project is an attempt to look beyond the familiar perception. Through the sensitive lens of my camera, I capture moments where Kyiv appears as a city of ghosts, a city transmitting another reality. Through the lens, I try to capture images that are not always visible to the human eye but convey the spirit of the city: figures, shadows, mysterious beings emerging at the intersection of two worlds. "Kyiv – The City of Ghosts" is an exploration of the unseen and unknown that hides in the places we know. It’s a project about how reality is much broader than our understanding, and every corner of Kyiv can become a portal into a world that we are just beginning to uncover. October 17, 2012
